How to Delete Your Account
If you wish to delete your AmbaPay account and all associated data, you can do so directly from within the AmbaPay application. Follow these steps:
- Open the AmbaPay application on your mobile device
- Navigate to the Profile section (usually accessible from the main menu or bottom navigation)
- Look for Account Settings or Account Management options
- Select Delete Account or Request Account Deletion
- Follow the on-screen instructions to confirm your request
- You may be required to verify your identity using your PIN or biometric authentication
Important: Once you request account deletion, your account and all associated data will be permanently deleted after 15 days. This action cannot be undone.
What Gets Deleted
When you request account deletion, the following information will be permanently removed from our systems:
- Your personal information (name, contact details, identification documents)
- Your account credentials and authentication data
- Your transaction history
- Your payment methods and linked accounts
- Your saved contacts and recipients
- Your app preferences and settings
- Any other data associated with your account
Note: Some information may be retained for a longer period as required by law or regulation (such as for tax reporting, fraud prevention, or legal compliance purposes). However, such retained information will be anonymized and will not be associated with your personal identity.
Deletion Timeline
After you submit your account deletion request:
- Immediate: Your account will be marked for deletion and you will receive a confirmation notification
- 15 Days: Your account and all associated data will be permanently deleted from our systems
During the 15-day period, you can still cancel your deletion request by contacting customer support or accessing your account settings in the app.
Before You Delete
Before requesting account deletion, please consider:
- Ensure you have withdrawn any remaining balance from your wallet
- Complete any pending transactions
- Save any important transaction records or receipts you may need
- Update any services or subscriptions that are linked to your AmbaPay account
- Cancel any recurring payments or scheduled transactions
